| BlackVapor's Full Review: La Centre Molson |
Okay, I will start this by noting a small error Epinions made. In French, we should read "Le Centre Molson", rather than "La Centre Molson". Whew! Now that this is solved, here is my opinion on the arena.
First of all, I know that the Molson Center does not live up to the Forum. However, this is not due to the arena itself. Indeed, this is mostly due to the lack of history this arena has lived, compared to the good old Forum.
The Molson Center has not yet seen players that live up to Maurice Richard, Henry Richard, Jacques Plante, Ken Dryden, and all the other great players in the Canadien's history. Hopefully, this will come in time.
For hockey games, I believe the arena is great. I have seen many games at the Forum and at the Molson Center and, for the "not-so-good seats", that is, the 26$ seats that are way up there, the view is much better. Sure, you will have to bend over a little to see the action, but at least, you will see the action! :)
Inside the arena, a small museum relating to Montreal's hockey history lies in the corridors. I recommend arriving early at the game just to see this highly interesting museum.
For concerts, Montreal has no place with comparable sound. Metallica at the Molson Center was the best concert I have ever seen and heard. In this area, the Forum or the Olympic Stadium are just children next to the "concert king", the Molson Center.
