| dbla16114's Full Review: Madison Square Garden |
Madison Square Garden located in the heart of NYC is home to two of my favorite teams, the New York Knicks and Rangers and other events such as college hoops, Boxing and Concerts. I try to attend a few home games every year and it's really a different feeling watching the games live, you don't even have to be a big sports fan to appreciate it and have a good time, the energy and aura of the place will excite you, the crowd is really into the games. The facility itself is pretty much modern with mostly comfortable seats with a decent view (the lower and middle sections). It's a good idea to eat before you go to a game, the arena food is a bit pricey and nothing to brag about. Then there is the question about tickets, prices range between $50 to $100(estimate) face value for good seats, but that's if you're lucky to get them at the box office, there are some upper tier seats available for select games at lower prices that could be a bargain but you might need binoculars to watch the game! It's not a good idea to get tickets from scalpers, you could get ripped off and get phony tickets! There are a lot of ticket agencies around town which are easy to find through local newspapers but be prepared to pay! Overall if you're visiting NYC, it's definitely worth the effort to try to go to a game, you will not be disappointed.
