Words cannot express the time you will have if you go to a Notre Dame Football game. If you can, try and get there on Friday evening for the Pep Rally. Usually, the Irish have either a former player or a celebrity as guest speaker. On Friday, you can go to the arena and look at the massive amount of trophies in the ACC. Another hot spot is the book store. Try to get there very early since this becomes extremely congested before the game. On gameday, get there early to purchase a hot dog or sausage from a frat or dorm, watch the Irish band play in front of the Administration building 2 hours before the game, and enjoy the Irish win again! Paring can be expensive. I pay $25.00 to park and I usually park near the interlocking ND flowers. The money for parking goes to charity, and it is a worthy cause. Places to eat are the "huddle", the cafeteria, or other small vendors on campus. Prices are very reasonable. Another must is the Grotto, and the cathedral. If you are Catholic, try to hurry after the game to get to Mass at the Cathedral. If you are pushed for time, there are numerous masses being held as well in the dorm chapels. Just get directions early to them since they fill up fast after a game!
