I have seen numerous games at the Notre Dame football stadium. I live about 3 miles from the stadium and about 1 mile from campus. I work on campus at one of the dinning halls. I have season tickets and have had them for about 5 years now and have went to games before that too. Most of my relatives get season tickets and have taken me to games.
I will tell you this that the stadium was completely original until the recent addition of the upper deck. Even though they added the upper deck, they kept the original bricks and outside of the old stadium. With the addition of the upper deck came statutes of famous Notre Dame football greats. It is a site to behold. Notre Dame is known so much for their football history, and their stadium reflects it.
The campus is filled with thousands upon thousands of students and fans walking around the campus by the library and the "Golden Dome" and the lakes and other sites around campus. It is an amazing campus to be on and to visit.
Tickets usually run around $20 to $40 a seat. Inside the stadium there really is not a bad seat in there. On the South side seats you have the opportunity to see the "Touchdown Jesus" picture on the side of the library. On the North side you have the company of the oldest marching band on earth, and the student section. The East and West side seats are nothing but good views of the field and views of "Touchdown Jesus" right over shoulder.
Parking is best to get there about 5 hours before kick off, bring a cooler, and some lawn chairs and enjoy the aura of a Notre Dame home football game.
