I have been to the Skyreach centre to see the NHL Edmonton Oilers Hockey Team and for the value of the entertainment it can't be beaten.
With a great "Jumbotron" and plans for a new 3.2 million dollar state of the art entertainment centre over the ice the video and sound will only get better.
For 18 Canadian dollars you can get a seat in the Skyreach centre to view a hockey game, that is the cheapest seat price in the NHL! The entertainment value of this hockey team is great as well as the Oilers are a fast, exciting team who rarely "traps".
Inside there are many different franchised fast-food options as well as the option for beer, highballs, coolers or wine.
I would recommend parking at the nearby Northlands parking area only a 2-3 minute walk to the doors. The Light Rail Transit system of Edmonton also stops steps away from the main doors.
A building steeped with the history of the 1980's Oilers dynasties and for a reasonable price it is the epitome of Canadian hockey and a building which should not be missed by any hockey fan. Also interesting is on the northeast side of the building is a statue of Wayne Gretzky, a hockey shrine to be sure.
