The USTA National Tennis Center, which includes Arthur Ashe Stadium and home of the US Open, is the neccessary shrine to a pioneer in the world of tennis, Arthur Ashe. I am fortunate enough to have seen Andre Agassi play on this great court, and this stadium is unlike any other, or I should say the fans are unlike any other, in the way they get behind the players. At times the place can get a bit noisy for a tennis match, but these are New Yorkers,w ho are used to yelling and screaming. Talking about screaming, it is more enjoyable since they rerouted the planes from JFK. I recommend the view from the lower bowl, but if you are in the upper deck, bring binoculars. There are many food choices at the US Open, and the venue is accessable, but you have to deal with New York traffic. I reccommend this venue and the US Open to any tennis or avid sports fan.
