| kierla's Full Review: Wrigley Field |
Wrigley is the ONLY place to watch a real baseball game. The air, the wind off the lake, the ivy....all date back to a time when baseball wasn't about contracts or salary caps or egos. It's a cozy place with genuine box seats, bad food, and still the original 7th inning stretch. Actually, the best seats are the bleachers. 22 years ago, PBS aired a play called "The Bleacher Bums". It was life at Wrigley.
How true! Iwent into labor with my first child in those bleachers. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Been to lots of ballfields, but for the true "American" pastime - can't beat Wrigley.
After the game...meet your fellow fans at Harry Carey's Bar...the bar is 60'6''...the same distance from the mound to home plate.
Well worth the field trip.
