Brawl is a flat out fun game where nearly all major Nintendo characters from the past from all different games get together and just fight it out. This game gives each character special attacks and abilities based on the game they were in, so if you liked Snake from Metal Gear Solid, you could use his famous grenade attack against Mario, Kirby, one of the Pokemon, and many others. There are also fun game inspired maps from almost every major Nintendo game, and maps from the previous Super Smash Bros. Most of the maps are interactive, and there are always certain characters that are better at certain maps. The layout its like a 2D sidescroller, but the great 3D graphics make you forget that all together, while still making the game simple. There is also a way to create custom maps, it is extremely easy and fun and I do it all the time. The gameplay is easy to pick up on. The joystick controls movement, and basically every other button controls some attack. Something new on Brawl that wasn't on the previous game is a single player, sidescroller, adventure mode where you play primarily as Pit. This is a good way to play on your own, but I found it kind of boring, and really short, but hey, this is Brawl not Super Mario Bros. This is a great game for all ages and I highly recomend buying it.
