Pros: "The Office" is great. But BBCA isn't worth watching for one show.
Cons: No EastEnders. Too much Home&Garden programming. Censorship on website discussion boards.
The Bottom Line: Don't waste your time. There are better Home&Garden channels. For Britcoms and the best in British TV, support your local PBS, where you have some say in programming.

BBCA used to be one of the only channels I watched, and the only digital cable channel I watched. We got digital cable just to watch current episodes of EastEnders. When I first got it, 2.5 years ago, it was on in the evenings, Sunday omnibus, and the "The Early Years" too. First Early Years was dropped, then the evening episodes, and then the weekend omnibus was moved to the horrible position of Friday early afternoon (which meant going to work with the digital cable box on and leaving a menacing note left threatening anyone who changed the channel or turned the box off during the day while I recorded). Then they moved it to Saturdays, which is better for me but still a bit inconvenient. Like everyone else who watches the show, I usually only sat through part of the show, and taped the entire episode for later viewing. Not too many can afford to sit in front of the telly every Saturday afternoon for 2.5 hours. I never missed EastEnders. The real stinger here is one day the BBCA made this announcement: "This is the last EE episode"... They claim ratings were bad, but considering they NEVER promote EastEnders and stick it on one time a week in a long block on weekends is the only reason they lost viewers. Shame on BBCA!
Here is why I'm boycotting BBCA:
1. TOOOOOOOOOOOO many "do it yourself" and "makeover" shows. I know it's the fad now, but geez it's boring to show it 75% of the time. Shame on BBCA.
2. The "live chat" with the programming head of BBCA was a sham. Those who could even attend (on a Monday noon, when most people are at work), who could even log in (amazingly my account had became invalid and I had to sign up for a new one) were treated to a mockery of a chat because the questions had been submitted hours before the chat, and the questions chosen were ridiculous (as if a disgruntled EE fan would waste time asking about the new season of Waking the Dead and other shows in the line-up). Then the BBCA man was really rather condescending and rude to boot. Shame on BBCA.
3. Discussion Boards on the BBCA website are disgusting because they yank down any comments that have to do with EastEnders... even if all you wrote is "I love Dot Cotton" then your comment is as good as gone. My entire discussion history was eliminated to as far back as January (considering I posted dozens of times, this is an insult... I never broke any of the guidelines or rules.) Sometimes I just love our country's idea of "Freedom of Speech"... SHAME ON YOU, BBCA!!!
