Pros: Started out as a great idea, and still could be with new programming.
Cons: Rubbish programming, too much commercialism - no "BBC" quality to be found at ALL.
The Bottom Line: A fan its first 4 years, I cannot recommend BBC-America anymore. Outdated, endlessly repeated programs, too many commercials. Great concept; sadly, its been run into the ground.

| flystone's Full Review: BBC America |
I used to be a huge BBC America Fan - I started watching it 5 years ago for the quality programming: original dramas, suspenseful mysteries, interesting films, engaging comedies. There have always been commercials (a minor annoyance), which I could live with because of the great programming schedule.
Now, I don't even bother to turn it on. Any programs of quality are gone, replaced with endless, aging reruns of "Ground Force," "Changing Rooms," and "What to Not To Wear." (Really, hasn't anyone noticed that the WNTW advice is from episodes and fashions that are YEARS outdated?! Or that the color schemes used on the years-old repeats of Changing Rooms can't even be found in Interior Design stores anymore?!)
I grew up watching BBC programming on PBS and listening to BBC World Services on the Radio. To me, "BBC" has always meant *quality*. However, since David Bernath took over the programming almost a year ago, everything "quality" has disappeared. So Sad.... I will continue to listen to BBC Worldwide on the Radio, and watch BBC programming on PBS... but BBC America (the single reason 5 years ago that I bought a satellite system) is off for good. Its nothing but commerical rubbish. Nothing "BBC" about it.
Don't waste your time.
