Pros: Absolutely none!
Cons: Endless repeats of DIY and gardening shows, no EE. Not my cup of tea!
The Bottom Line: Avoid it at all costs. There has to be a better way to get REAL BBC programming and not this bastardized version via an American distributor.

A few years ago, I was tickled to get BBCA. I would tell all my friends about their exciting line up, all the Britcoms, great dramas, even their gardening and DIY shows. BUT NOW, BBCA has been on a slippery slope for about two years, endless repeats of their gardening and DIY shows (taking up most of their airing hours), only to find Americanized versions of these shows on other channel lineups.
BBCA is an injustice to the BBC history of great British programming. The final straw was the unceremonious cancellation of the #1 show in the UK for decades, Eastenders. I no longer tell my friends about the great programming on BBCA. What I tell them now is that the American distributor of this channel, the Discovery Channel, has ruined a once exciting and original broadcasting network.
I no longer watch BBCA because of its careless disregard for loyal viewers demonstrated by their poor communication skills, poor marketing skills, poor programming skills and a darn right mean-heartedness to anyone who has written to their website.
I never thought I would have to become familiar with the politics of worldwide broadcasting! This situation is preposterous. No thanks to you, BBCA and Discovery Channel!!!
