I was overjoyed a few weeks back when I discovered that I now received the almighty and god-like cartoon network. For a dork like me, I was in Nirvana.
Sadly enough, I'm not a kid anymore. I'm sixteen. Why am I still watching cartoons? I have no idea. Regardless, the ones on this station are hilarious, action-packed, and all around great.
This station has something for everyone. Well, everyone who likes cartoons, I guess. My mom doesn't appreciate cartoon network, but she's old. Old, and crazy.
Cartoon Network is owned by Hanna-Barbera so they play a lot of Yogi Bear and lots of Scooby Doo and such. They play a lot of anime type stuff from the eighties like Thundercats and Ronin Warriors, a lot of funny new-school cartoons like Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls, and sometimes they play the really old fifties stuff. Most kids my age watch for the anime like Dragonball and Outlaw Star.
Chances are I can usually rely on Cartoon Network to be playing something good almost all the time. Sometimes the cartoons are lame, like if they're playing "Scooby Gang" (the one where they're all kids and the monsters are real - what the hell?), or whatnot. But some people like that sort of thing, so whatever. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays is the best programming block in my opinion. During that time they play Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Sheep in the Big City, Johnny Bravo, and all the other exclusive Cartoon Network newer shows.
Also I love some of the Cartoon Network's commericals they have for themselves. The ones that feature the Super Friends are the best. They include the only funny Wazzup parody ever, and also the one where Aquaman utters the line "Wonder Woman, my ability to talk to fish will do no good here!" They are firmly tongue-in-cheek and very funny.
In conclusion, this network has the power to transform you into a hyperactive eight year old craving sugarry breakfast cereals and such. It's dangerous. But it's so, so good. Probably the best network on TV today. Check it, yo!
