My daughter loves animals and learning and other than the Animal Planet, Discovery Kids is the next best thing. This channel offers programming in language that can easily be digested by even the youngest enthusiast. My daughter loves the zany nature of Jeff and Terry Irwin. As I have always stressed learning can be fun and entertaining otherwise what is the point. Discovery Kids proves this point. With all the mindless entertainment out there now, it is refreshing to see more and more educational channels for kids. I myself watch Discovery and TLC. It also makes my daughter feel important and special that this channel is specific for kids. Hoorah to the Discovery Channel for showing us that television not only is entertaining but educational also. In fact with the DK Channel it is both at the same time.
