Ok so I'm watching this hilarious Simpson episode on sunday night right? Then after it is over I leave the TV on and, like always, FOX is premiering some new show inbetween its two best shows (the simpsons and X-files). The show was called Malcom in the middle or something like that and I guess it was really hyped up by a bunch of newspapers, so went ahead and watched it.

I can't really decide if this show is for kids or adults. On one side, you see everything from the perspective of the kid, and he "pauses" the action to tell you his thoughts on everything. Its much like the "Wonder Years" in this fashion. The show is about him and his time in school. All the chicks seem to like him, as do the teachers, which makes the cool kids pick on him. This show has everything that would make a kid want to watch it. A kid that is in school, who is smart mouthed and rude, who stands up to the bullies that pick on him, who is nice to dorks (whilst still being rude), who is a teachers pet (whilst still being rude), and all the chicks love him. The result is a wacked out kid with multiple personalities, but its definitely something that all the kids will want to watch.

On the other side, this show has CRUDE humor. The kids mom walks around the house topless, and b!tches at everybody. The word "Ass" must have been said at least 5 or 6 times in only this one episode. Anyway, the humor is very adult, but thats why all the kids will love it just like they love South Park.

My take is that this show will be very popular, but also very controversial, especially since it is on prime time network television.
