Would you prefer 100% videos or 20% videos and 80% trash? I know what I would prefer. If I want interviews with Britney Spears I will put my head up my rear-end, it's a lot more interesting.

MTV used to be a really good channel showing *MUSIC*, filling in the MUSIC bit of MUSIC television. But now they should rename themselves TRASHY PRESENTERS and not much music TELEVISION. TPTV anybody?
Bits of gossip, news, music etc are served up in "chunks" which they have named MTV Bytesize. And then there's Select... Music video clips filled in with interviews, garbage, phone-in's, garbage, celebrity presenters, garbage, garbage, garbage (and that's not the band...).

Fortunately for viewers using Sky Digital their is MTV Extra (OK, but too much pop poop), MTV Base (this rules... lots of hip hop and r&b) and MTV2 (rock, and alternative). This makes up for the frankly quite poor MTV.

There is only one "show" on MTV that's vaguely watchable. The clay-enhanced wrestling, boxing, pub fighting, WWF-mocking Celebrity Deathmatch. It is a very good program... Two (or more!!) celebrities get it on in the ring. Co-presented (in clay formation) by that lovable WWF rouge Stone Cold Steve Austin, and having featured many stars of the silver screen, the CD and the TV. Watch The Artist formely known as Prince beat up Prince Charles. Extremely watchable..

I don't know wheter 1/5 will suffice. If epinions.com did minus numbers, I am sure MTV would fall into it.
