Pros: Great content, little commercials
Cons: Repeats 3 to 4 times a day, they play the pick of the month too much

Since getting a satellite dish, I have narrowed my television down to three channels. This is my favorite. They show classic videos, new videos, and everything in between. Songs that I didn't know were released as singles by my favorite bands can be seen in video format here. Often they will play a block of videos that have the same title or videos by the same artist. One day I saw all of Rancid's videos; another time I saw "Aisha" by Death in Vegas followed by "Aisha" by Another Bad Creation. It's ingenius.
They don't separate the genres, so you are constantly being exposed to new stuff. The biggest problem I have with the channel is that it repeats its content about every six hours for a 24 hour period. This is not a big deal if you watch occasionally, but I watch all the time.
The VJs are down to earth "real" people, who often err their lines and are very personal with the audience. They shoot in lo-budget locations, like warehouses and guitar stores. But it doesn't matter because the VJs are rarely seen. It's about the music. Typically you get four videos (around 10 minutes) then one or two long comercials (45 sec to 2 minutes) and it's back to videos! Much more pleasing than the original MTV.
I can't rave about this channel enough. But I'll stop now... upgrade your satellite package now to get M2!
