I have a five year son and an one year daughter. From the moment my son wakes up he is asking to watch "Face". The "Host" of Nickjr. I have found that these shows which include Little Bear, Franklin, Bob the Builder, Dora the Explore, Little Bill, Blue Clues and sometimes Maisy are a great learning tool for my son. And as an added bonus "Face" entertains my daughter. Blue Clues shows kids how to think about how things would go together and learning to think about work. Most of the rest of the shows teach such as respecting your friends, telling the turth and helping others. I feel as if the can learn and enjoy it at the same time it is great.
Night programming has something to be desired. I do however enjoy Rugrats. This teaches my son that you do always believe what someone tells. Because Angelica is forever telling the babies something that is total wrong and they believe her and usually getting in trouble. But more time than not Angelica gets in trouble for telling the babies the wrong things.
Over all I would say Nick does a great job in their programming. My son has learned quite a bit from these shows. Take the time to review the shows. And see what you think. Happy viewing.
