I love this channel! There are a variety of shows that my son watches daily as well as the nighttime lineup that I love to watch. The preschool lineup during the day is a lifesaver for the parent with the active toddler. I can turn the channel on while the Nick Jr. programs are on, and am able to get a ton of stuff done around the house while my son's attention is captivated by such shows as Blue's Clues, Franklin, and Maurice Sendak's (author of Where the Wild Things Are) Little Bear.
I've tuned into the shows my son watches from time to time, and I'm really pleased with the content. There is always a lesson to learn and the unique characters are great for young ones. The children's programs on Nickelodeon are worthwhile viewing for your child because they encourage young minds to think creatively, make the right choices, and push their limits.
For the older children, there are plenty of shows as well, including All That and Are You Afraid of the Dark? I've watched these from time to time as well because my sister also loves the channel. They also send a valuable message to youth, modeling what is right and encouraging the use of the imagination.
As for myself, Nick At Nite is one of my favorite lineups to watch. Such shows as Happy Days, The Jeffersons, The Brady Bunch, All In The Family, and Maude really bring back memories for me. The shows I was too young to tune in when they originally aired, I can catch up on now. Believe me, any parent that has sat up all night with their child will agree that Nick At Nite is a gem.
So, to sum up this channel, it has excellent quality viewing for all ages and fosters the growth of bright young minds.
