The TCM is a great, refreshing channel for our family. So often, we get so unendated with profanity, new fashioned gore (the kind that shows every bloody detail, imaginable), and just plain sex, sex, sex, that to relax with the family and to watch a movie that actually has a plot is real entertainment for our house!

If you have not watched this channel, try to imagine a mystery story that makes sense, without blood, gore, and sex that in no way makes the story better! Consider a love story that may IMPLY many things, but does not feel obligated to SHOW you everything concerning that tale. Of course, a lot of these movies were done when even married (in real life) couples were not allowed to be in the same bed on screen! The rule seemed to be that one foot had to remain on the floor, at all times. There were so many morality clauses that the movies didn't go crazy trying to capture audiences with raw emotions or nudity, they were not allowed to. The outcome was that movies had plots!
I enjoy old movies. I like to watch film noire, with the shadows that made me entranced with the plots. It is interesting to me, that while the old movie stars were supposed to be the most alluring and the ones who lived the most glamorous lives, THEY were the movie stars who didn't strip on the silver screen, didn't speak such raw language that I find myself trying to not hear half of what is being said!
If you enjoy watching movies with plots, without feeling embarrassed by the language or the content of the movies, I highly recommend the TCM!
