Pros:Redford and Gandolfini facing off on screen.

Cons:Somewhat predictable, violent.

The Bottom Line: Redford and Gandolfini give strong performances, and having the two together on screen is alone worth seeing this movie.

Redford suddenly seems to be trying to pump out as many movies as possible before he dies. He does give a good performance, however it is not his best. Gandolfini proudly plays his part, unbreakable until the very end. To see Redford and Gandolfini together on the big screen is wonderful. They psychologically fight one another for power, and this thirst for power finally destroys them both. The script is strong at times, weak at others. It is a movie about courage, honor, loyalty, and strength-done before, but this time with a twist. A few scenes, especially the scene between Redford and his daughter, seem to have been tossed in at the end of production. Maybe this was a last minute effort to instill some kind of sensitivity into Redford's character. The ending was somewhat predictable, but hardly weak. I did enjoy this film, and would recommend seeing it. It's not your generic military war movie, but it comes close. Still, it is worth the time and it will make you think about living your life while you can.
