We live in an automatic world … so why not have an automated air freshener?  The TimeMist system delivers timed bursts of scented spray into a room.  This TimeMist Clean and Fresh air freshener is one of the fragrances we use.


Description

The TimeMist system consists of a wall-mounted dispenser that delivers timed spray-bursts of air freshener into a room.  Aerosol cans containing the air freshener fit into the dispenser.  There are quite a few scents to choose from too.  This review is about the Clean and Fresh fragrance.  Some of the other scents are: Pina Colada, Green Apple, Bayberry,CountryGarden, Mango, French Kiss, Caribbean Waters, Vanilla Cream, Lavender Lemonade.

The refills come in two sizes: 3000 or 9000 “shots”.  The refills last thirty days, depending upon the dispenser timed dispersal pattern.

Each can is labeled “Caution: Contents under pressure.  Keep out of reach of children”. 

Ingredients include: Acetone, Propane, Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether, Fragrance, Petroleum Naphtha, Light Alkylate.  TimeMist says their fragrances include essential oils to prolong the scent.  The can also says: “VOC compliant in all states”.


Our Experiences

We use the TimeMist air freshener system in the office restrooms.  The fragrances are designed as odor-fighting and quick-acting.  I’ve been working at this company for a long time, and we have used the TimeMist system since I’ve been here.  I still remember the first time I walked into the restroom and inhaled.  The air smelled wonderful.

This Clean and Fresh fragrance is exactly as the name describes.  The scent is light and unobtrusive.  It quickly eliminates odors, and the scent hangs in the air awhile.  It doesn’t instantly disperse.  No one in the office has complained about the fragrance.  Some of us are sensitive to certain scents and this Clean and Fresh fragrance is pleasant – no watering eyes or sneezes.  It is one of those scents that remain in the background rather than infusing an area with perfume.

Using this refill can is easy, too.  Remove the cap from the top of the can.  Insert the can into the TimeMist dispenser.  The timer settings can be adjusted to whatever dispersal time is desired (check your dispenser for options).  The can suggests a 30-minute setting for a 24-hour period all seven days of the week to obtain 30-day coverage.  It is recommended that the spray be set so that it does not disperse on people, animals, or food and drink.  The can also cautions against the spray coming into contact with solvent-sensitive surfaces such as varnish-covered or painted objects.

Please read the list of ingredients or visit the manufacturer’s website for more information.  If you are sensitive to Acetone, this is probably not the product for you.  I like that the ingredients in this aerosol are promoted as not going to deplete the ozone layer.


Purchasing

Prices vary on the refills, so shop around for value.  On average, a can costs $5.00 to $8.00.  They are also offered in multi-packs for savings.


Summary

The TimeMist system works for our office, and everyone here likes the Clean and Fresh scent.  It’s easy to set the refill canister inside the dispenser.  The air freshener automatically disperses at timed intervals for thirty days.  Set it and leave it … time-saving, reliable, odor-eliminating, pleasant fragrance.
