Cons: Nothing enough to call a con. I've never had an incident with them.
The Bottom Line: Service, communication, food, entertainment and just comfort wise. I've always flown on coach, but they treat you like royalty, always with amazing smile on their face!

| freakmoh's Full Review: Korean Air |
I've been a devoted Korean Airline go-er for almost two decades now. My first ever memory of having been on a plane has also been on the Korean Airline and I honestly don't recall any horrifying incidents that made me even consider switching to other airlines, unless of course when I am on a limited budget. Korean Air has always provided amazing service for me and have never been disappointed by flying with this airline.
Budget:
To put it honestly, Korean Air is definitely not the cheapest airlines you will encounter, although I'm sure once you've gone this far on searching for the quality of the airline, you already realize this. Korean Air has always been quite a bit of the highend airline, most fair for their service involved in each trip. Although of course, it depends greatly on the season and the days you are travelling. Korean Air has never been a cheap airline, but it sure is no Singapore Airlines.
Checking-In
Checking in is always swift and courteous. I've never had a problem with this airline in its handling of customers checking in for flights. They've always gone out of their way to make you feel confident about the flight, paying enthusiastic attention to your situation at hand. Most all the check in I've done have been at major airports, such as Los Angeles International or Inchon. They always have numerous check in windows open and although just like any place, there's always a line, they never allow it to get out of control.
Boarding
When boarding the aircraft, the crew are very attentive, asking for your ticket and guiding you to where your seat is, always with a hand stretched, pointing to the seat. There's always about four or five crew standing in the entrance of the aircraft giving you a general direction, and then the other stewardesses guides you rest of the way right to your seat. They are always willing to help you with your carry ons if you are having trouble lifting it to place in the compartment. They are always so ready that I've seen people asking for drinks even before half the customers have found their seat, and the stewardess brought them juice and water with a smile. What service!
Departing and Landing
Nothing particular here. Just like any other airline flights, Korean Air is no exception, although there is a definite absence of the violent shakes that may be present in other airlines. Smooth all the way.
Duration
I don't recall ever having any incidents with Korean Air in the more than 20 flights I've taken with them long and short. The flight that I most frequently take is the one from Los Angeles to Seoul (which is every flight if you are trying to get anywhere, they always land in Seoul and then connect from there). They are never short on entertainment, with everything from movies that are still in theatres, to documentaries (anywhere from Discovery to A&E docs) and music videos. They also have news along the ride and also the best part I think, is a chart that shows the altitude, the speed, how far we've got to go in time, the time in the departed city, and the time in the soon to arrive city and they also have a detailed map showing where the aircraft is currently on its route. It's quite amusing really. Very very nice especially when you feel like you've flown 10 hours and actually you've only flown a few.
Extra
They have an on board library, where they cart around a few books to see if you want to read them. They check them out to you during the flight and you have to return the book when you leave. It's always a nice addition when you've forgotten to pack your good reading book. They have books in English and Korea, and of course the language of the country you are flying from, may that be China or Japan..etc.
Their attire is quite beautiful and absolutely straight. Everything's worn without flaw, not a single strand of hair sticking out of the crew, their clothes and coloring are actually quite fashionable! A definite eye candy.
Food and Service
OH!!!! Their food is amazing! I think they 've been winning awards for their food now for years. And yes, I agree! Their food is so very good!! yum. They always have choices for your appetite, most of which are meat, so my vegetarian stomach requests something else. And they do offer vegetarian meal if you request when you purchase the ticket. But even if you are a vegetarian, it's the kind of the food where you can just separate the meat without it been juiced into your meal, which is always nice. Their Bee-Bim-Bab is beyond. Of course, this may be a mere exaggeration, since it still is, airline food, but this is not what you would expect of any airline food. I mean, this is REAL food, which is always nice. They never service with just the meal, but they also come with yogurts, fruits, jellies, tea, wine(red or white you name it), coffee, juice (all sorts of'em)...etc. And they are always willing to give you extra if you need anything else. Peanuts? Here you go. Some more juice? Here you go. Some more wine? Oh yes, yes. Yeah, they really are like that. Whew! Amazing.
Language and Communication
I've never had much problem with communication on board the Korean Air, because although they have the Korean accent happening, they've always been very communicative, and really, their English is quite good in my opinion. There's been one time where I asked for juice, but they brought be a beer. But that's the only incident I can think of that made me go "huh???".
In all, I would whole heartedly recommend this airline to anyone looking for an airline or are sure, but want confirmation. Korean Air has never failed me, and my destination have been so far Singapore, Thailand, Korea, China, US, Taiwan and Canada.
Oh, and they have really good mileage program!
