In Nov 2007 I flew Korean Air Business Class from Atlanta to Seoul. The equipment was a 747-400 with the new Business Class seats and layout. The service and equipment were both top-notch, and I would fly Korean Airlines again on my next trip to Asia.
I've traveled recently internationally in business class on American, Delta and United, and I will state without question the Korean Airlines business class has them all beat hands-down.
Here's a hint for anyone traveling business class on this same flight... you want to sit in Row 19. The Business class layout on the main deck is 2 x 3 x 2, and the bus class cabin extends to the top deck where the layout is only 2 x 2. Row 19 is an exit row on the upper deck, so you have approximately eight feet of pitch between you and the row in front of you. Korean Airlines will not grant seat assignments to this row over the telephone, only the gate agent can assign them. When I got on the plane I discovered I was the only passenger in this row. After takeoff the flight attendant told me unless they are completely sold-out, they try blocking the seats in Row 19 as crew rest seats because they are the best on the plane.
Happy flying.
