Pros: Good crew, good aircrafts, and good service.
Cons: Bit disorganized, and some minor communication problems.
The Bottom Line: The airline is good, and travelable. It is some flaws, but they are not that big, and can be avoidable with reconfirming and things like that.

LAX to ICN & ICN to BOM (End of May, 2009)
Check In: The check in was easy. We were a group of 6, including a 90 years old senior citizen. Despite the large amount of passengers in our group, the employee at the counter was very nice, and calm about our needs. He made check in a breeze.
Flight from LAX to ICN: The flight was a nice flight on a Boeing 747-400. The flight took off on time, and landed on time as well. It was 12h 30min but it was a enjoyable flight. I did not get boared.
In-flight Entertainment: Very large collection of movies, English, Korean, Japanese, European, and from more regions. The plus point was that the headphone jack was not your 2 pins jack. Korean Air had the convenient single pin jack so I was able to use my own head phone. The aircraft also had a nice collection of games.
Meal: This is where the problem occurred. All 6 of us had placed our Asian Vegetarian (AV) Meal more than a month in advance, yet they failed to incorporate our orders. They only got 3 out of the 6 AV Meal orders. The other 3 of us (including me) ended up eating Korean meal called Bibimbap, it had meat in it, but it was picked out. This was not comfortable at all. It was very bothering, and made me mad. There was also Seaweed soup included in the Bibimbap which smelled bad (so I didn't bother with tasting it). But the AV Meals (Indian) was decent. However we had packed some snacks, just in case, so they came in handy.
The Crew: A nice crew. The response time was good, bit above average considering that the flight was packed. Some crew members had some minor communications problems. I felt that they had a bit of hard time understanding what I was saying. But they tried their best. The crew was excellent in regards to serving beverages throughout the flight. They were serving beverages almost every 2 hours or so. Crew was generous about feeding the passengers.
The Aircraft: The aircraft was clean, and tidy. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy as well. The basic amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, and etc.) were kept full. Also the complimentary kits it had were also nice. The kit had pair of socks, blindfold, toothbrush w/paste, a lanyard, plus a nice case that can be used for other uses. Also there was bottled water on our seat when we boarded. However extras were not given if it was over, only glasses of water were given.
Flight from ICN to BOM: This was on an Airbus 330. It was 7h 40min. It had a 2-4-2 seating arrangement.
In-flight Entertainment: This flight did not have the personal screens. But it did have a projection screen onto which video was being presented at the beginning of a section. Then there after, every couple of rows there was an overhead TV Screen. As usual the programs were same on all of the screens. At the beginning of the flight there were Korean programs, then towards the end (the last 35-40% of the flight) there were Indian programs on, some programs from Indian MTV or some music channel that were in English.
Meal: Unlike our last leg, there was no problem in our meals. All of our melas were as per our requests. The meal being served was dinner. We had Indian food, and it was good. Not bad. The highlight was the Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. That was the best part of the meal. This was about midway to the flight. Also towards the end of flight (an hour or so before landing), the crew started to pass out sandwhiches, and juices. This was nice also.
The Crew: Unlike the crew of the other leg, this crew was not as nice. After the aircraft had landed, and as the passengers were deboarding the plane, my family was waiting for the wheelchair for my grandmother, while waiting, I asked the crew if I can get some water for my medication. However the crew refused to give me water stating that they can not open the cabinet in which the water was stored. Which I think was ridiculous, as I have seen not only liquids, but even food being passed out while on the ground, just because the passengers asked for it.
The Aircraft: The aircraft was clean, and tidy. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy as well. The basic amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, and etc.) were kept full. The complimentary kits were not passed out on this leg. Also the bottles of water were not available on this leg.
