Korea Air is a Pleasant Fare

I got on the plane in Chicago - and my troubles ended there.
Korea Airlines'only drawback was that they go through the nightmarish mess that is O'Hare Airport. Once you get out of O'Hare and you are actually on that plane, then your problems are over.
The flights I have taken with Korea Airlines travel Chicago-Inchon(Seoul). The attendants on these airlines are attentive and are multi-lingual. They are right there whenever you need them - and I had occasion to test that - even once they popped up when I accidentally pushed the button!
The food was much better than what I would get during the seven months I actually spent in Seoul. The flights were always on time and the ground personnel in Inchon were just as efficient and friendly as the air personnel was. The pilot and the officers were very informative - the only thing that bothered me was one of my flights was taken during the Italy-South Korea World Cup game - and the announcement that the Korean team won was made only in Korean. Hey, Korea was my " country" too, by then! But the roar of the Koreans aboard made it pretty obvious what had been announced.
Korea Airlines prices per mile were better than their Korean competitors(Asiana) and the service was much better. The fligh tickets, boarding ,and other preliminaries were well-handled by KAL staff. The restrooms aboard were clean and well-stocked.
The movies shown on this long flight(14 hours) were well-chosen and the films were usually available in both Korean and English. Two wonderful films shown were " A Beautiful Mind" and the Korean film " Champion" - both award winners.
The KAl flight experience is a very good one and makes a long journey pleasant.
