I flew first class on BA from Boston to Singapore and back. This ticket costs more than $12,0000 but I feel I did not get my money's worth. The fully flat bed is as comfortable as ever and the cabin on all 4 flight segments was clean and modern. However, the choice of movies was identical on the way to and from Singapore. Considering this is a total of over 50 hours flying time, I would have appreciated something like what Singapore offers; 130 movies and programs on a much larger TV screen than what BA has.
The food was nothing to write home about but was not bad. It is on the onboard service where a deterioration can be noted. Upon boarding, no attendant took my coat until almost takeoff time. Upon landing, coats were not distributed to passengers. Upon arrival at LHR, we were forced to board a bus to the main terminal 4. We also had to take a bus when boarding the Boston plane in London.
The flight attendants, while not surly in the way many US airline flight attendants can be, were hardly warm or even efficient. At one point I had to get myself a cup of coffee because no one went by my seat for at least two hours. BA flight attendants are not as happy to work at BA as they used to be and it shows.
