Absolutely Appalling

Pros: Cheap. Direct from Heathrow (but maybe not on return!).
Cons: Incompetent. Doubtful mechanical ability. Rude. Unhelpful.
The Bottom Line: Fly with someone else or don't go to Jamaica.

I chose them because they were cheap and fly direct from London (Heathrow) to MoBay. Outward they weren't even that bad: only two hours late!
The return journey was a disgrace. Take-off was aborted due to a warning light in the cockpit and things went downhill from there. There was no air conditioning in the cabin due to the failure of an auxilliary generator (never a good sign) so we baked for three hours while a chap used a mallet to perform some kind of delicate surgery on an engine. And then we we informed that the plane was grounded and we would be going to a hotel. I don't have the strength to describe the fiasco that unfolded from that point on, but suffice to say we got home two days late and we all vowed never to fly Air Jamaica again. Quite simply the biggest bunch of incompetent fools I have ever had the misfortune to fly with.
Please avoid this airline at all costs. AA and BA both fly there (not direct and more expensive, but trust me: it's worth it). I would also mention Delta, but they codeshare with AJ so you might end up on one of their planes.
