Taca loses luggage gets an F

Cons: Bad service, rude, attitude, not helpful
The Bottom Line: Don't fly this airline, they have a lot to learn about customer service. They seem to lose luggage a lot.

Taca lost my bags then my husbands. Had no clothes for a week in Costa Rica. It was impossible to get any help, I don't speak Spanish. I finally got my bags back the day after I returned home. Turns out my bags never left LAX. It somehow wound up in the lost and found of another airline (Northwestern) My husbands bag is still missing in action and they have no record of it even being checked. Oh yeah....... both our bags were carryons. They have a weight limit of 22 lbs. We had never intended to check our bag. I had jewelry in my bag and stressed out the whole time about it. I had to find clothes at the American used clothes store and buy underwear at a grocery store. When you get upset they cop an attitude. I have never lost luggage before. It is very stressful. Also they do not give you seats together. Some people managed to get seats together. They must know something I don't. I had to be in the middle of the seat with two strangers while my husband was several rows behind. The money you save is not worth the heartache. Finding your self in a foreign country with no clothes and no way to communicate is about as bad as it can get. Also when we arrived back home we were hearded like cattle down to a bus that you stand up in and hold a strap and they then drive you to the baggage. Not only did my husband not have his bags but several others did not have their bags and the luggage was strewn all over the place torn, damaged and clothes spilling out of them. One suitcase was even totally empty. No one was around for help. I give this airline a F-.
