Good experience with TACA

Pros: Cheaper airfare, great service

Cons: Not many direct flights from the US

The Bottom Line: I believe this company has worked to improve itself. I would feel comfortable flying with them again and plan to on future trips to Costa Rica.

Myself and family flew TACA from Texas to Costa Rica. Our flight made a connection in Guatamala. I had read some posts about lost luggage and obtained traveler's insurance just in case.

Our experience was very positive. The crew was very friendly and informative. The airplane (737) was very clean on the inside. The service and food was better than many of the US based carriers I have flown on. No problems with lost luggage. I did not see any problems with overbooking or seat assignments. We would have preferred a direct flight into San Jose but saved several hundred dollars by flying with TACA. I would not hesitate to use this airline again.
