Pros: Traveling with an airline that specializes in Central America, some good deals
Cons: Crowded, average food
The Bottom Line: A cheap and convenient way to get to Central America using the airline that most locals and Central American ex pats use.

| sesm's Full Review: Grupo TACA |
My husband and I recently took a trip to El Salvador from Dulles Airport in Washington, DC. We traveled TACA because it was non-stop and the best priced deal. If you use TACA for a similar trip, I recommend going through travel agents that cater to the Salvadorean community in the US. They often have better prices since they seem to reserve a block of tickets especially for the busier seasons (Christmas, Easter, etc.). The flights were on time, as comfortable as coach class ever is when it is crowded, included a movie and meal which were competitive in mediocrity with any other airline. The terminal in El Salvador is modern with jet ways, duty free shops, and air conditioning. The night we arrived, however, the lights flickered on and off and actually went off altogether twice for a few short minutes!
