EA makes you feel like a king or queen

Pros: The service is really really good

I like travelling and especially Europe. I have been to Europe many times and tired many different airlines. I don’t like taking direct flights because I cannot seat still for more than 10 hours. Emirates Airlines is always my first choice because EA doesn’t have any direct flights from Asia to Europe.
Price:
The first thing that I really like about EA is the price. The price is very low. For an example, from Hong Kong to London, the plane ticket is only $950 US dollars for a round ticket in the peak season like summer. In November, 2007, I even got a ticket from Hong Kong to London only $500 US dollars for a round tickets. (But you have to return in 14 days.) The other airlines at least costs $1 500 for a round ticket from Hong Kong to London. Most of the time, if you are a student and you want to buy a student tickets, many other airlines will charge you for at least 25% more than the normal price but EA only charge you for 10% more and you can have a return flight within 12 months.
Duration of the journey
The duration of the journey is unusually longer because you have to wait for 2-4 hours in the airport of Dubai to transfer to another European country. A direct plane from Hong Kong to Paris is around 13 hours but taking EA is going to take about 17 hours to arrive to Paris from Hong Kong.
Dubai Airport
Dubai airport is usually where you will take the second flights. I went to four different cities, which are Paris, London, Frankfort and Geneva with EA. I never found bored while I was waiting. If you get off the first plane around meal time, the attendant will give you a meal ticket and you can go to the restaurant to have some food. I find that the taxes in the airports are usually higher but in the Dubai airport, the tax is lower than many other countries. If you like to shop for Perfume or even some jewelry, they are cheaper than a lot of countries.
Baggage
There is something that about EA I don’t like about. EA only allows passengers to have one baggage only (exclude the hand carry) and which is maximum 20 kg. For most of the other airlines, they usually allow you to have 2 baggages which are maximum 25 kg. But if you call to the hotline of EA before you take the plane, you may be able to ask for 10kg more. EA has never lost my baggage. I took EA at least 8 trips.
Flight Schedule
The EA has a very good schedule. I cannot remember any of the flights that I have taken was delayed with any reasons. EA wins my confidence in this way.
Because I travelled with EA many times, now I will only write about one trip experience in November, 2007.
Check-in
I arrived to the airport pretty late so I was very worried about that I couldn’t be able to check-in. When I arrived to the counter, she was about closing because it was close to boarding time. Then, she called and to check for me if she would still able to have my baggage go with the plane. Then, she helped me to check-in and explained to me in a very detail that when I arrived to Dubai Airport where I was going to take my second flight and how long I would be waiting. She also told me that I didn’t need to go to the customs in Dubai and I didn’t have to take my baggage or check in for second time. She was very helpful and I felt so respected by her.
My journey
I always like the uniform of the attendants because they wear pretty traditional Arabic clothing’s. The attendants greeted me with big smiles. One of the male attendants showed me where I should sit and helped me to put my hand carry bag on the top.
There was not packet in your seat, like toothpaste or tooth push but if you go to the restroom, you will find some clean packet of toothpaste, tooth push or even comb.
The plane that I took was actually an airbus which was a small plane compared with bowing 747. The seat combined with 2-4-2. The seat is actually not very big and I find that there is not really actually enough room for my legs but it’s enough for me. In front of every seat, there is a small monitor where you can watch TV or movies. The movie was okay new. But the TV channel was interesting because they were all the channels from the Middle East countries. The music is okay.
The meal was actually very good. Because of religious background, there is no pork provided in any menues. There were two different menus which you could choose. Both were very Arabic taste. When I was travelling from Hong Kong to Dubai (7 hours), there was two meals provided which were dinner and breakfast. When I was travelling from Dubai to London, there was also two meals provided which were dinner and breakfast also. After dinner, they also served me ice cream.
The attendants always hang out some free waters, juice or beers during the meals.
In the end, I always have a nice experience with the EA. The seat is actually very small but what I really enjoy is their service. They always wear some very sincere smile and the attendants do make you feel that you are important for them.
