Good Things:
-They serve food quite often, so there's no chance of going hungry. Food also has some variety (chips, ice cream, warm snacks, okay hot meals)and isn't as bland as American Airlines..
-The seats aren't uncomfortably small like American Airlines and there's plenty of footspace so you'll be comfortable in any class.
-Flight times are good, atleast normal.
-Weight and size of carry on items is technically very limited but they don't usually check.
Bad Things: These things were gathered over several flights but only from one trip. They're my own experiences and I can guarantee you they all happened.
-Not at all business-like. I was standing next to a group of passengers that had been in Abu Dhabi for two days because there had been too many passengers in the previous flight and Gulf Air was refusing to put them in the next ones. As the passengers were arguing at the service desk, they were told to just go away.
-They've got their favorites. I was standing in a very long line to get into the terminal to go to Bangladesh. The line had all Bengalis. A Saudi Arabian traveler comes from the back of the line and Gulf gladly lets him through first. This happened two more times after that. Eventually, the flight had been overbooked and the last ten passengers were taken out of the flight, even though they had gotten there before the Saudi Arabians.
-I have had around the world trips since I was 1 and I have never had this happen to me before. I was tired, the fasten seat belt sign was on, and the flight attendants forgot to pick up my trash from and earlier meal. I call on one as he passes by and ask him to take the trash. He passes by smiling saying "I don't pick up rubbish." And then he was gone.
-They put themselves before they're passengers. 2 passengers were sitting in the first row. Gulf Air Flight Attendants from a different crew were also on board. For their own benefit, the sent the non-English speaking travelers to a seat farther in the back so that they could have those seats for themselves. And of course the crew on board allowed it.
