....from IAD to Salt Lake via, duh, Phoenix. Seems everyone coming west goes through their Phoenix hub. I was prepared for another version of Southwest's populist culture, but except for only being served pretzels on a 4.5 hour flight, there was no difference between this airline (flying A319s and 320s) than a major carrier.
Good review. Glad to see I'm not the only one who was pleasantly surprised.

You know mark, so was I but I went for the flight times and price and it turned out great! Lucky for me since I was traveling with 5 kids LOL

I've been a little leary of America West, given the grapevine tales of frequent delays, lost baggage etc. It's nice to see some positive comments on them -- makes me want to try 'em out on my next flight!
