Better than I'd hoped!

Well after reading some of the bad experiences of my fellow epinion writers I went into this trip a bit weary. I had few options. I needed a non-stop round trip flight from Las Vegas to Boston with 5 days notice. America west was the only one offering it anywhere near my budget. I got it for $384. Not a bad price even for 14 day advance purchase but for 5 day advance purchase it was great!
So I booked myself an E-Ticket and read through all the epinions and pretty much figured this flight was gonna suck. Boy was I surprised. Not only did they leave exactly ontime but they got us to boston 10 minutes early. The service was excellent! Very friendly stewardess'. They saw I had brought my own headphones so they did not charge me the $5 to watch the movie which was spy kids and pretty good by the way.
The meal was even good! It was baked ziti with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. A nice size portion too. And a small green salad with Ranch dressing, a package of breadsticks and an oatmeal rasin cookie. Delicious. Never thought I'd say that about airline food.
I ordered a wine and they actually had it in stock. (I usually fly American and they are always out of white wine.)
They did not overbook the flight which I'd feared in fact I had a whole row to myself. The plane was an Airbus A319 and the captain told us it was brand new. (Scary! Like I hope they tested it!) But it performed flawlessly and they steered us around some bad weather in colorado so we did not have much turbulence at all. Landing was smooth as silk. I think these pilots can teach Amercian pilots a thing or two!
The return flight was not quite as nice but still not bad. There was a 20 minute delay. It was a late flight 9:30 pm departure from Boston. We got on and settled and there must have been only about 25 people on the entire flight so I got to stretch out again, on board another A319 although I don't think it was "brand" new. No meal on the late flight which was a bummer but snacks and wine! No charge for the movie again (remember to bring your own headphones!) but I did not watch it because I fell asleep. And I NEVER fall asleep on a plane as I am a pretty nervous flyer but the flight was so smooth and they made me feel so comfortable and safe that I was able to fall asleep. Woke up 80 miles outside Vegas and the pilot must have gone a little faster because we landed right on time.
I am glad they have a hub here in vegas as I definately plan on using them again. I went from skeptic to a believer!
