American Airline is ok, not great. But, one route that I often have to take is horrible!
If you ever have to fly from O'Hare International Airport to LaGuardia in New York, expect an uncomfortable overcrowded flight.
The basic problem is that there are flights on this route every hour. What this means is that anybody who arrives at the airport more than an hour early tries to go standby on an earlier flight. The staff is consistently nasty (I have unfortunately taken this flight more than 20 times in the last 2 years). I understand that the staff is under pressure from all of the people trying to fly standby, but threats and yelling do not help.
They also seriously overbook the early evening flights. People are often bumped, even though they have tickets.
You never have the luxury of having the seat next to you empty. Sometimes the last flight of the day is less crowded (since people went standby on earlier flight).
Hey American Airlines, try a little harder to not treat us so badly!
As I mentioned above, I am not talking about an isolated incident, I am speaking of how this route is almost everyday.
You can try United (a bit better), or try to avoid connecting through O'Hare. But, if you travel often it is tough to avoid.
