When I was a child I remember clearly now being given the grand tour on American Airlines. I still have my AA pin in wing shape. I remember how kind the airlines were to such small children. We were stuck circling over Chicago for 3 hours. Of those on board 95% were ill due to extreme
wind and bouncing. Our whole family and the flight attendants were the only one's not ill. We gave away our throw-up bags as they ran out!
Through this ordeal the stewardess was extremely kind.
The airlines put us up at the Chicago Hyatt for free as our flight was missed going to Virginia. Yes our luggage was lost. I can remember to this day washing my underwear in the sink at the Hyatt. They even gave us 2 rooms!
I must say the airlines treated us wonderfully. Yes the flight was late, turbulent and miserable but they had first-class staff.
