American Airlines --Something horrible in the air

I recently flew on an American Airlines flight from Hancock Airport to JFK. The flight to New York City wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great. Our plane was late, but hey that can happen on any airline. On our way back to Hancock Airport we went through the worst traveling experience that I hope I ever have to deal with. My boyfriend and I arrived at the airport 4 hours early because we didn't want anything to go wrong with our flights. After we checked in we went to a restaurant to have lunch. When we got back to where our flight was to be boarded, there was a long line and a lot of people screaming. It turns out that they had delayed 3 planes indefinately and had just cancelled one. Next the come over to our flight and start reading names off of a list. The people whose names where on the list would not be able to fly on this flight due to overbooking. So now I was supposed to fly home and my boyfriend would have to stay in NYC. Since I live a few hours away from the airport, I would also be stranded in Syracuse once the flight landed. I told the girl in charge that I would like to wait and fly home with my boyfriend. So the girl goes and pulls me off the plane and puts my boyfriend on. So now I am going to be stuck in NYC by myself. My boyfriend muttered something under his breath and this unpleasent women turned and told us that neither one of us would be flying home on that flight this evening. Finally we managed to convince this woman to put us on the plane. Needless to say our plane to off 1hr and 1/2 late. Now you would think that since this plane was supposedly overbooked that some passengers would have to stay behind but everyone booked on that plane got to fly on that plane. After reading this you probably think we were flying standby, but I would just like to mention that we had booked our flights over 3 months in advance. When I returned from my trip I filed a complaint with American Airlines. When I got a statement from them all that they said was that they looked forward to seeing us fly with them again. I can honestly say for my boyfriend and myself --NEVER
