ATA The Nightmare begins.......

My daughter and 2 of her friends booked a flight in August to come home for Christmas.They were to fly from Indianapolis to St. Pete, Florida.They arrived at the airport 2 hours before thier flight. As they proceeded to check in they were told thier flight was cancelled. The reason was a flight attendant didn't show up for work.
They were then told that thier seats had been resold. After a discussion they were finally put on a plane to Sarasota. Well that was great as I live in Sarasota. Except for the fact we had already gone to St. Pete to meet the regular flight.
We get there and find out it was cancelled. Ok so what next? The ATA employee verified the canceled flight and that they were indeed headed to Sarasota 60 miles south. Now I'm getting upset and we head to the Sarasota airport.
I get there and her plane arrives 2.5 hours late because an employee doesn't show up for work. Your not on vacation with ATA but on a nightmare flight to BFE!
WE exchange hugs and go to get her luggage. Well imagine that, it's not there. three girls and no luggage. We spent another hour filling out forms and all this time the parking meter is running. Lilly, an ATA employee told us to call her this afternoon and she would know where the luggage was. We did and she didn't.
I now get on the phone because it's a nightmare to have 3 twenty year old girls with no luggage and not knowing what happened. I called the Indy office of ATA and was assured at 6:00 pm that the luggage was on a flight to St.Pete and would be delivered to our home tonight. Well it's now 11:37 and no luggage.
ATA employee's have lied about it since this started. This has really been a nightmare for my girls! I can assure you it will be a nightmare to ATA too! I can't wait till morning when I can call ATA in Indy!
If you have to fly I would highly suggest that you find an airline that cares about you and your property! REMEMBER " WITH ATA YOUR ON VACATION" not!
