Pros:Multiple means of earning FFM's, accurate tracking of milage, miles never expire!
Cons:Milage partner program could be improved upon.
I enjoy the many benefits of Alaska Airlines frequent flyer program. The benefits of adding milage by using my Alaska Airlines VISA, and combining milage earned at local markets is a dream. However, I did experience difficulty in obtaining credit for miles which should have been credited from their Milage Partner, British Airways.
I contacted Alaska Airlines, forwarded the appropriate forms, boarding passes and proof of purchase only to discover that they would not honor their agreement. We had recently flown from Norway to the USA via British Airways and spoke with a customer service agent at the Anchorage International Airport who informed us that we had three months to claim the frequent flier miles from this trip, unfortunately, we had been misinformed, and have been unable to claim the milage to date. Of course, Alaska Airlines is still holding our boarding passes and proof of purchase so we were unable to claim the milage through British Airways. All of this said and done, this is the only error we have found Alaska Airlines to have made in regards to our frequent flier milage.
