For those that travel at least a few times a year a Frequent-Flyer program is a must. With all the programs out there it is hard to find a good program and sift past the rest. I struck gold when I found the Continental OnePass program, it was more than i had ever expected. The program is wonderful with lots of ways to get miles with many partners, the redemption is easy and well worth it, and the treatment and service surpass any that I have seen before.
When I decided to look for a program to sign up for I wanted to find a program I could actually use. I didn't want to have to pay membership fees and end up not being able to use my miles anyway. With OnePass I found that not only was it free and very easy to sign up. It was also easy to get miles and the program was clear and simple. Including the flights on Continental there are several airline partners. Some of these include America West, British Midland, Copa, and Northwest.
Of course once you have made your trip somewhere you have to have a place to stay, Continental offers you miles for just staying somewhere! A few of their hotel partners are great names like Hilton, Doubletree, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton and many other. For the rest of your trip you would need transportation, Continental has several car partners like, Alamo, Avis, Hertz and Thrifty. Even when you aren't travling you can still earn miles doing your every day activities. With sponsers like MCI and the Flower Club you can earn miles almost every day!
One of the problems I ran into when looking for a good program was the level that you had to achive to use your miles. Once you did reach that level the rewards were not always so great. With OnePass your miles come soon and the rewards are well worth it. You can upgrade to First Class with as few as 5,000 miles. With all the partners and the inexpensive flights that will come very quickly. After you have flown for a while you can even get free flights to Hawaii with as few as 35,000 miles. That may seem like alot, but for business travlers that comes very fast.
The main thing that keeps with with OnePass is just the way the customer is treated. When I have a problem with a ticket or flight all I have to do is call the OnePass number and they will fix everything for me as soon as they can. They take great care to make sure I am happy and I really appriciate that, especially after a long day of travling.
Along with the great service by phone, at the terminal you are reguarded as importnat also. OnePass members can get priority boarding(depending on the flight). The staff at the desk will seem to be somewhat nicer and look harder to find you a seat, plus with the OnePass membership there are some seats set aside in the plane that OnePass customers get first "dibs" on. I found this out when I tried to get a certain seat on a small plane and found that the OnePass members got preference on those seats until a certain date.
All in all I have really enjoyed my OnePass membership. I haven't found many programs that are as complete, well taken care of, and as well done as this. I would suggest to anyone, if they are starting out in their life of a seasoned tralvler, to try out the OnePass program. The benefits are wonderful, not to mention the Privlege packs which include wonderful perks such as free car rental and free first class upgrades. If you are looking for a great program with a wonderful company you have found it with OnePass
