jetBlue certainly has had its issues with publicity over the last year, due to their meltdown at JFK a few months ago, but from what I have experienced, they are bouncing back nicely.
The flying experience itself is probably the most comfortable I have had in coach (although I am curious about the new Virgin America). All the seats are leather, and "relatively" spacious, in width, and leg room. The service is mixed, but usually nice. Honestly, the in air personnel tend to be nicer than the ground personnel, particularly the gate attendants and the check-in personnel could use some improvement.
There are plentiful snacks, of good quality. (I highly recommend the chocolate chunk cookies...quite the 35,000 foot high treat!) Drinks are standard issue, although there some good alcoholic libations if you are so inclined.
The restrooms...well they are airline restrooms. Try to avoid if you can.
One of the big points of differentiation is the DirecTV and XM radio (only 40 stations, but still good), that is available, and free. You can get a movie for $5, but with all the TV channels available (about 40), there is really no need to do so. You can "upgrade" your earphones for a buck, but probably not worth it. The channels have a little something for everybody, including the wee ones, making travel as a parent a bit easier. They also offer flight tracking in air.
Pricing is pretty good, although sometimes you can get a better deal on the legacy airlines. They also fly to a lot of secondary airports, and have some odd departure times, but if you have some flexibility in your schedule, it might work for you. Their big hub is JFK in NYC, which does make it quite convenient for at least 20 million people.
Their frequent flyer program is weak, as points expire after one year. However, compared to the legacy airlines, the flying experience is much preferred over those stodgy choices.
