Pros: Satellite TV/radio, good legroom, nice snacks and beverages
Cons: Totally changed and messed up our itinerary 2 weeks before trip
The Bottom Line: Would have been great except for the fact that they changed the DAY of our trip (and added a layover) without making sure we were aware of it.

| twiggy1982's Full Review: JetBlue Airways |
I just had my first experience with JetBlue - I was excited because I'd heard such great things about the airline and I could not wait! But unfortunately things did not go as planned. First, I paid a little extra for a DIRECT flight - again, I was super excited because I always fly into small airports so I always have a layover. However, about 2 weeks before our trip, I get an email from JetBlue saying my itinerary was changed. And they added a layover through NYC. When I called to find out what was going on, they offered me a full credit (not refund) but I knew I would not be able to find cheap tickets elsewhere only 2 weeks before the trip. And of course, the times were WAY different and added at least 6 hours onto the day so I was not happy about that. The flight itself was fine - I did enjoy the snacks and tv. The way home was much worse. We went to the airport and found out that our flight was the day BEFORE so we had missed it. I could not believe what was happening. When they added the layover, they changed the return flight from Saturday to Friday!! When I spoke with the agent beforehand, she did not mention the day change just the new layover and times so if she knew about it, she was not telling me apparently. I suppose I should have read my new itinerary with a fine-toothed comb, but I still cannot believe they can change your flight to a whole different day without really making sure you know about such a MAJOR change. So the flight on Saturday would only get us to NYC and not to our final destination of DC. They did have a flight from NY to DC Sunday morning BUT THEY REFUSED TO BOOK US. They said the flights were full and that they are not allowed to split the legs of a trip over two days and they recommended we wait 24 hours and take the flights Sunday instead. Which would mean taxi fare to/from the airport again, hotel costs again, and meals - at our own expense of course. I asked if we could at least be put on standby and was told again they cannot split over 2 days. They said if we chose to go to NYC that night, that would be the end of our trip and we'd have to find our own way home from there. At this point, we'd been at the ticket counter for over an hour and I was so frustrated I just burst into tears. After more waiting, the guy behind the counter said one of the agents finally booked us on the Sunday morning flight. We grabbed our tickets and sped off to get through security, happy to be getting back into the US even though we had to spend the night in the airport. Then, when we got on the flight from NY to DC, it was ONLY HALF FULL! So the line we got fed about it being booked up was a total lie and I totally do not understand the policy not to book legs over 2 days if its something the airline did to cause the issue in the first place. Overall, it was not a fun experience and I am really bummed that we had such an awful experience when everyone else seems to love them!
