Jet Blue is a refreshing new airline that offers a very good value. I recommend it to most travelers. I've taken it to Florida a couple of times via JFK.
Making reservations and checking airfares was a snap using the web site Jetblue.com. Just charge your fare over the internet and you're set to go.
They don't serve meals, but they do serve decent snacks and beverages.
Jet Blue uses new Airbus series jets. Somehow, I feel better knowing that all of their equipment is new and hasn't been in service for 20 years.
Going through JFK was surprisingly easy. The connecting gates are all right next to each other so you simply get off the first flight, and walk 25 feet to your next flight.
A great feature is that all of the seats have their own TV screen, with a good selection of about 20 channels. There is no extra charge for this. This is extremely useful if you are traveling with children. The children will be occupied thru the whole flight - no crying or whining.
The seats also have extending headrests on each side to support your head if you take a nap. Nice feature.
The seats are a bit tight for legroom. I am 6'1" and I could fit OK but felt a bit cramped after a two hour flight. However, considering the reasonable prices and the in-seat TVs for the kids, it was well worth it.
The selection of cities they fly into is limited.
The service was good - I have no complaints.
The airline industry needs more competition like this to help drive down airfares and restore decent service. I'm quite supportive of people flying this airline.
