Pros: Inexpensive, new planes, friendly
Cons: tightly packed seats, leather seats
The Bottom Line: Nice planes, friendly staff, inexpensive. Unfortunately the seat configuration leaves something to be desired.

| marklyth's Full Review: JetBlue Airways |
I have travelled just about every major U.S. airline over the last 5 years and JetBlue ranks up there as one of the best. I love flying Airbus planes because they are quiter and smoother than most Boeing (except 777) planes. The tickets are reasonably priced and the employees are generally friendly (not as friendly as SouthWest, but close).
Now for the downsides. It may sound strange, but the leather seats are actually a downside, living in Florida, it is generally warm/hot/unbearable most of the year. Leather is not so good at breathing, I found that my legs were sweating by mid-flight. It was only a two hour flight from Tampa to JFK so it wasn't too bad. The seats weren't really any more comfortable than another airline's cloth seats. I think part of the reason it was hot was because the coach cabin is packed like sardines. I fly AA whenever I can because they have the extra legroom in coach, other airlines should follow them. I got lucky, flying alone, I was able to secure an exit row seat on both flights, so I had plenty of legroom, but looking at the regular rows, it would be very tight for anyone over 5'8".
I will fly JetBlue again, but only if;
a) they are significantly cheaper AND
b) it is a short flight (2.5 hours or less)
As far as the DirecTV goes, it is a great idea, there were a couple of times it wasn't available due to interference, but overall it worked. I don't really watch TV so it wasn't a big deal for me, but it is definitely an innovative addition to the flying experience. As far as not having any meals, I love it. I would much rather pickup a sandwich at the airport, than try to eat the 'food' on some other airlines. I have flown Continental twice, first time in coach, the food was, well, to put it mildly I wouldn't feed it to Al-Qaida members in Guantanamo. The second time in first class, by far the worst food in any first class experience, edible, but that was about it.
