Pros: You name it! Anything the other airlines lack, ME has!
Cons: Too few flights!
The Bottom Line: If you can, book them! Even if they're a little more expensive, the extra is worth it. They are a wonderful airline!

| Petra1's Full Review: Midwest Express |
Ok, I'm not one to rave, I'll be honest. But I will do it about Midwest Express.
The first time we (my 3 kids (5,9,11) and I) flew on them, was when United Express once again canceled their flight out of Muskegon, MI. This was on the weekend that we had said goodbye to my mother in law, who was dying of cancer.
We were very distraught as it was, and United's canceling added salt to the wound. Not in the least, because now we were not able to fly together with my husband, who had a different final destination (he was going on a business trip). Anyway, that's for a different, anti-United epinion!
On that Sunday, the United Express attendant motioned for us to go one station over, to the Midwest Express attendant (Muskegon Airport is very small, needless to say).
The ME attendant was quick to point out, that we would love their service and that they had only canceled once in the past half year.
After a very friendly checking in of our luggage, we went to the gate. There, an equally friendly gate agent helped us on the plane (my youngest was in tears, because not only did she have to leave grandma, her daddy stayed behind too).
After a short, very comfortable flight on a prop plane across Lake Michigan, we deplaned in Milwaukee.
Instead of having to change terminals and run for our flight, as we were accustomed to in Chicago, the gate for our continuing flight proved to be just a few steps away.
This allowed the kids and me to see some shops and relax a bit.
When boarding began for the flight home, I was soooo pleased to hear the old "we will now board those who need some assistance and families with small children". Believe me, when you are alone, traveling with kids, this is a heaven sent! First big plus in Midwest Express's cap!
Once on board, a friendly (!) flight attendant helped us get settled in the very comfortable, leather, first class width seats (two by two, so no middle seats and plenty of leg room!).
A little into the flight, we were served a VERY nice lunch, with real silverware and napkin and beverage (complimentary wine! and not just one glass, but a second one too, if so desired!). Even the kids loved their lunch.
For dessert, everyone received two freshly baked (=still hot and chewy) chocolate chip cookies. Delicious!!!
And all served by people who had "service" as their middle name. I was so impressed! One of the flight attendants even handed us some left over cookies, wrapped up in aluminum foil, to take home for the kids to enjoy.
Wonderful! I can't think of anything that was not absolutely enjoyable about that flight! They were also on time and the luggage delivered back at baggage claim in no time on arrival!
Having had this great experience, we decided to book Midwest Express again for the sad flight back to Muskegon for my mother in law's funeral.
The airline offered a reasonable bereavement fare (especially after both United and Northwest decided the bereavement fare was "not available" (??? I didn't know it was capacity controlled!)).
We had a very short layover in Milwaukee this time, of less than 10 minutes. But the plane to Muskegon had waited for us and we were helped on the plane by everyone possible.
All flights were wonderful, the same nice service, similarly tasty meals and always those wonderful chocolate chip cookies!
Midwest Express has definitely stolen my heart. I wish I had to go to their markets more often and I hope they expand their service.
I've traveled extensively and as a former travel agent, know a lot about the airline industry. I hope Midwest Express stays in business, they're almost too good to be true!
