| ImAmes's Full Review: Midwest Express |
I have flown Midwest Express several times to Orlando, Florida. It was a non-stop flight and a VERY comfortable one!
I flew out of Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, WI to the International Airport in Orlando Florida. The flight was two and a half hours long and even arrived ahead of schedule!
The ticket prices were high, but it is all worth it. I recommend getting your plane ticket 2 months in advance to take advantage of the air-fare wars and discounts.
The Midwest Express Airline is clean, comfortable and enjoyable! Their are no coach or 1st class, it is ALL 1st class!! The plane consists of two rows with 2 seats in each row. The seats are leather and very cushy- very relaxing for a quick snooze! There is plenty of room for your legs to stretch out and for your baggage. I have been on many airlines where my legs felt like they were completely under the seat in front of me- not comfortable at all!!
What is also nice is that because their is only 2 seats on each side of the plane, you have a 50/50 chance of getting a window seat! I recommend you sit towards the front simply because you are the last to get on, and the first to get off. It also makes you feel not so closed in as the back of the plane does. I sat in the front on the way to Orlando, and got stuck in the back on the way home, and the only advantage of being close to the back is that you are closer to the toilet!
The BEST part of this Airline is the food and the drinks! I remember the first time I was on this Airline, and it was supper time. I was thinking "Oh great, airline food- I will probably get some cold meatloaf on a paper plate."
I WAS WRONG!! DEAD WRONG!!!
The food and service on this plane is like none I have ever seen! They bring you a three course meal on beautiful china along with your complimentary glass of champagne! I was served stuffed porkchops with a bread roll, a bowl of cooked vegetables and a piece of carrot cake- yummy!!
The service was great! They were polite and courteous and very swift! My meal dishes were taken from me right away so I didn't have that akward "What do I do with these dishes?" feeling. I was asked several times what kind of beverage I would like, and given a bag of pretzels to snack on.
Another trip I had used this Airline, I got to have one of their warm, baked chocolate chip cookies! When they bake these, the entire plane smells like a bakery.
The bathrooms are clean and small, but I have yet to see a large bathroom on an airline- I am sure Air Force One has one.
I HIGHLY recommend Midwest Express to anyone flying to their destinations.
Enjoy the flight!
