I am a frequent flyer with Northwest Airlines, and over the past 2 years especially, have flown them on the majority of my flights, both within the US and to Europe. I have to say that they are SO-SO at best, and their service tends to be spotty.
I've flown a flight with some of the nicest flight attendants ever (I even told them so), and some of the worst (one flight attendant who would go into a rage if someone tapped her on the shoulder). On one flight to Europe (9 1/2 hours nonstop), we RAN OUT OF WATER!! I don't even know HOW that is possible!
Another occasion I had called to upgrade my ticket, and arrived at the airport to be told that they didn't have my upgrade in the computer (even though I had a confirmation number), and I would have to call someone ON A PAY PHONE AT MY COST to straighten their problem out. The food isn't BAD, and not great either.
There isn't much about NW that I can honestly say is a true positive, but all in all, they aren't TERRIBLE either (just a few problems here and there).
