My experiencs with United Airlines was poor, do to the fact that they cancel flights with no prior warning and reschedule you with no notice as well. Upon showing to the Traverse City airport after a 1 hour drive, I found out that "due to crew" I could not get home as arranged. On September 19th I called United Airlines to find another option I was told that I could drive six hours to the Detroit airport and MAYBE catch a flight out the next day which would be September the 20th 2011. By this time I have told the service agent that this would not work for me due to the fact that I'm and hourly employee at work and that I have already lost income as well as used unnecessary vacation days. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told "there is no supervisor to speak with, I'm the only person you can talk to". Keep in mind that this is on a Monday. I dissagreed with that statement, and then I was hung up on! So I called back and spoke with another service agent and told them my experience with United Airlines so far was not good and after explaining my issue again to the new service agent (who's agent # I wrote down this time, agent V51 or Mertle) I was promised to be emailed a certificate of discount totaling $150 for each passenger and that it would take 24 hours or less to be received. These certificates never arrived. I waited an additional 24 hours then contacted customer service again and I was told that "United Airlines automated system could not issue such certificates" and was offered $50 again by email, and given the time wasted on the phones (sometimes 2-3 hours at a time) and the time wasted at the airport I was fed up and accepted what little they had to offer as a solution. After all of this I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged a $7 customer service fee RIGHT OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT! WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE!! I will never get to use this voucher because my wife and I will NEVER fly United Airlines again!
