Pros:only pro I can think of is the webiste is easy to use...
Cons:no services offered, friendlier more helpful customer service needed!
The Bottom Line: Haven't even flown with them yet and already left me angry and disillusioned since there are not many charter services available now and I can't afford AC.
I just got off the phone with Westjet "Super" Customer Service Reps (as they describe them on the website). I was trying to book a flight from Toronto to PEI. I found out through our conversation that they do not offer travel insurance, which I find crucial since flying with an infant but rather ask you to call another number of a partner that they work with to book my own travel insurance. Their "insurance" offer is a non-refundable fee of $42.40 and you get a credit for the rest of your ticket which you have 1 year to use with Westjet. Also, I asked about seat selection, again travelling with an infant it is better to pre-select a bulkead or a seat with more room since they are sitting on your lap, which I have paid for before, however, they don't offer this service at all. You must just show up at the airport and hope that they will try to accomodate you. I did not find the customer service of this agent to be particularly friendly or flexible, and with a stern reminder at the end of the conversation that if I "don't book now, not to expect the same prices when I call back".....so I corrected her and said "don't you mean IF I call back!". This experience left a very sour taste in my mouth and not sure that I would even consider flying Westjet at this point.
