Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: Bring your own hairdryer; their's is weak. that's it.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended, more for 40+ folks than for young families. Was my first cruise but I can't imagine it being any better than this.

| goldenco's Full Review: Celebrity Mercury |
My family of 5 just returned from the Anchorage to Vancouver leg (7 nights) from the July 27 cruise date. Previous comments I had read were problems with embark. and disemb; so I was ready for the worst. Was pleasantly surprised that with how many people they have to process, it went relatively smoothly. Did the processing for many people at the pick-up point in Anchorage which helped. The staff was very pleasant, waiters, etc. picked up our names quickly; alcoholic drinks were good value; staff was always cleaning - place was immaculate. Food, particularly at the seatings, was unbelievable; The buffet was good but not great. We went on three tours and they were expensive but well organized; we're glad we went. Passengers were mainly 40+, not too many teens, fair amount of retirees. Entertainment was excellent for a ship; the stage shows that we went to were fun. Casinos were fun and the dealers were very friendly. My son worked out everyday and only complaint was the gym didn't have a pull-up bar. Rooms were very clean and adequately sized, it is a ship after all. The staff equals out to about 1 staff/2 passengers. When considering the cost of the food if you went to a fine restaurant, our daily cost per person of approx. $200 was good value. Bottom line: I am a picky person, and this vacation was as good as we could imagine.
